The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run that has left a 63-year-old cyclist fighting for his life.

The crash on Kennedy Boulevard near Terhune Terrace occurred on July 24 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The 63-year-old man was riding a bicycle south when he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle — possibly a maroon colored sedan.

The driver fled south on Kennedy Boulevard. It was later determined that the driver also struck a parked car.
